Normally I wouldn’t do this, but me and my mom are desperate. As y’all may or may not know my niece wrecked my car back in the beginning of December. There’s a post here on my tumblr tagged dead car if you want to see it. We don’t have the money to get it fixed as we are both on disability and after bills every month we’re completely broke.

Well, someone my mom knew way back in elementary school gifted us a car for Christmas. One she hadn’t driven in years because it had been getting hot. Me and mom scraped together the $20 for the thermostat and I put it on. It needs new tires and God knows what all else because the temperature gauge is still reading hot even though the car isn’t acting or smelling like it’s getting hot. The next thing that could be wrong with it, because I’ve checked the hoses, is the water pump which is like $55 but it is also something I can not fix on my own. I looked into it and you have to take half the freaking motor apart because the water pump on this stupid car is driven off of the timing belt. All’s I’m going to say about that is fuck up the timing belt = dead car. Unless you can take it to a mechanic which is something we can’t afford.

I had to take my mom to the doctor today and the starter went out on the car. It’s parked around the corner from her doctor’s office. We thought it was the battery because it wasn’t turning over so we called my sister to take us to the parts store to have the battery checked. O’Reilly’s and possibly Autozone will test and charge your car battery for free. It’s a life saver. Anyways the battery tested bad and I opened it and checked it myself. (Don’t do that unless you know what you’re doing. There’s sulfuric acid in those things.) Don’t even get me started on the price of the battery for this stupid car. It’s safe to say we definitely can’t afford it.

At this point we only need to get the car towed home and we don’t know anyone that can help us. It costs anywhere between $150 and $180 to get the car towed the 10 miles home. It depends on if you can get hold of a nice tow truck driver or not.

I hate to ask and I know everything is shit for just about everyone right now, but literally anything will help. We’re desperate. If the car gets towed to an impound lot we will never be able to get it back because they charge the cost of the tow plus a fee for every day that it sits in the lot. I’ve got $9 in the bank and a couple dollars in change I’ve been trying to save up. I’m really trying not to freak out right now, but it’s been one thing after another after another for a couple months now. I just got home like an hour ago from trying to get the car running and my mom’s appointment was at 1. It’s 9:30 now so you can guess the kind of day I’ve had.

I have no talents aside from writing (Stucky) so I can write a drabble or ficlet or whatever with a prompt of your choosing, but that’s pretty much all I’m good at.
